noone could do anything at that point. Any attempt to intervene would most likely have cost more lives.

People die every day everywhere for many reasons. You make it sound like every one should care about 911. Not that i don't,but your statement sound so immature. Do you know that people today in Vietnam are still affected by Agent orange That was used half a century ago? people are still born with accute handicaps and deformaties.

Your rant doesnt deserve a response and i tossed asserting at all. But i feel like you deserve a response.

@Santaclauze That's a bit harsh. People tend to empathise with disasters that are more closely associated with their time and culture - it's natural, and there's nothing inherently wrong with that.

9/11 was bad (and had the largest death toll of any terrorist attack ever). Agent orange was bad. The 2005 tube bombings in the UK were bad. The Camp Speicher massacre was bad. I don't think anyone (sane) on here would say any of the above were *good* things.

But different people will mourn the above to different extents, and in different ways. Claiming that everyone needs to mourn and remember every terrorist attack, war and riot in equal measure is ridiculous.
