xroad23188yI don't think the GFX card needs to be 1GB if you're not going to be gaming. You could save that money and buy a better CPU + mobo. Or more RAM

A dev machine, with some gaming capabilities:
Intel Core i7 4770k
16Gigs RAM
2TB HDD
128GB SSD
NVIDIA GeForce 660 (without Ti) (1.5 - 2GB)
You could save on the HDD or graphics card and buy a Intel Core i7 4790k -
@xroad thanks for te advice!!.. where i live the cheapest card i've found is 1gb for 46 USD that will be for the 8 core and the a10 processor got a 2gb radeon gpu integrated, thats what i can afford with my actual budget, the intel processors or some better processor from amd are too expencive in my country 😢
-
@Scrumplex thats a nice machine, but exceeds my budget, sadly i got a very low budget, the i7 you mentioned costs USD 480 here, and my budget is like 600 maybe 650 ... third world budget. Thanks for the advice

@newbiedog Replace CPU with Intel Xeon E3 1220 v3 and RAM with 8Gigs. If you are patient the SSD could be removed.
Should be around 400 to 500 euros for the whole pc (450 to 550 usd I think). -
Trey4648yI've developed on both AMD and Intel processors. Granted AMD chips are cheap and perform well for every day tasks and gaming, they aren't very good for development (compiling in VS included). They're fairly unstable in terms of compile times and occasionally just freeze. Spend a little money and get at least an i5.

@StefanH my experience with Haswell i3/5/7 (don't know if it is normal or it is because I was stupid enough to buy a OEM PC) was very bad. I bought my (OEM :c) PC in 2013 and all I got today is an OS booting in about 30secs (was less than 10sec in 2013) plus 1min waiting on the desktop (even after fresh install), very slow render performance in Blender(CPU rendering) and Cinema 4D and some other little things. All in all Haswell i3/5/7 is okay, but I think I will invest in a Xeon (because it was made for long term use).

Thank you all guys!! I' ll going to look for those intel that you've mentioned, thank you so much for share your thoughts !!!
-
@StefanH my intel core i7 4770 performed pretty good the first two years, but after doing much 3d rendering it dropped with performance.

I'd stick with AMD if you have a lower budget, forget Intel. There cpus are better but considering they cost 3-5x more its not really worth it. I've 2 pics with intel, one with a 4th Gen i7, one with a 6th Gen i7, I then have a desktop with a AMD 6 core (can't remember exact models) from 2012. I don't notice any major performance differences between the intel and AMD ones.

Thank you all for share your thougts, finally i've decided bought an i5 6500 16 gb ram and 1 tb hdd, feel happy ☺☺☺

never go for i5 or i3 they are just defect i7's

I'm about to buy a new desktop pc, looking for some that can run visual studio 2015 without problems, i also use netbeans and mysql. I was thinking in a amd fx 8230 e (8 core) with 16 gb ram and a 1gb video card ... or a amd a10 7860k(4 core /integrated gpu) also with 16 gb ram. What do you think guys? Whats better for software development? I'll appreciate some devs advice
