@Stuxnet I was holding out with my pixel 2 that I had dropped several times both front and back was cracked with packaging tape holding it all together for 6 months.

@S-falken I can't bring myself to pay off the last like $350 I owe on it and then trade it in for like $250 and then buy a $800 phone.
It's not worth it even tho I desperately want face unlock. -
@Stuxnet you gotta hold out for the Pixel 5, I'm sure it will be even better. I feel your pain. they said it would be 350 to fix the front and back of my old pixel2 so i held out.

Root797345y@linuxxx I don't think the hardware is backdoored, so replacing the OS should be plenty.
If the hardware is backdoored, though, it's likely that all cell phone hardware is. (Like Intel chips are with IME / TrustZone.) Google wouldn't bother building hardware backdoors specifically on the chips they're using since they already have their spyware installed virtually everywhere. So I trust their hardware as much as any phone's. -
icycrash6835yI got mine yesterday to replace my pixel 2. The battery life seems pretty good. The radar sensor works well when you don't want it to but when you do it don't work that well.

icycrash6835y@refi64 my main problem is the accidental triggers. While driving I trigger it alot.
It finally came! Super excited.
Yes it takes amazing pictures even in the dark and the radar is super cool. Can't wait to dig into what I can do with the radar.
