Free work time is not "free". Go clean some code bases, or learn more stuff to be ready for your next assignment. Or go learn how to start projects from scratch. If there is no next assignment in the next month, go learn stuff to be ready to leave the company. Do not be a dead weight.

@bartmr I'm no dead weight, I've read all the Oracle APEX literature they've got, I've commented the shit out of my past projects and read about the hosting provider i want to use for my personal project(linode). There is only so much you can do extra.

I unofficially joined the design team just so I have some input and something productive to do while we wait...

Anytime you are on overhead is a time to learn something new. I spend time doing things like learn Linux or some new programming thing. Maybe look at different types of databases.

@Demolishun I'd like to but the machine I work on is locked down af. APEX, C#/WPF or nothing. Could really use this time to make a deep dive into UnityDOTS, but well what can you do...

I wish I had that problem. I am buried under my work.
