My busdriver today must have had thorough training in trobleshooting it-systems.. nothing on the bus was working, Doors, card reader, and it baerly moved forward. So trying to solve this problem he stoped at every busstop, turned the engine off and by this powered off all systems. Felt like the Classic solution people tell others, "have you tried turning it off and then on". So all other passengers were pissed because the bus was running late, and I felt kind of sorry for him..

in sweden? The West Traffic card readers crash quite often and say "CLOSED" with red light forcing you to buy a single ride ticket (which is like 50% more expensive) even if you have a reloadable purse card with money on.

Even seen card readers in a bootloop. WIXERG something....

@sebastian in the Netherlands at least if the machines are out of service the rides are free.

@kwilliams I think they say so because single ride tickets are paper cards down there, thus theres no useable payment method if the machines are out of service. Here, single ride tickets is buyable and useable even if the machines are out of order. Thus you cannot escape payment just because ONE of a few payment methods are out of order.

There is a few that have got the 120€ fine for riding without a ticket when the machines are down and they havent scanned their reloadable purse card.

@sebastian single use tickets don't need the machine here either. They are just valid for 1h.
