Didnt flutter kinda die off? Like it was big news a year ago and since then it just kinda vanished, i didnt see any articles or anything about it.

@tekashi How did it vanish? I see it's very active on youtube, reddit, and twitter.

And some articles are focused on the Dart language.

Do NOT use Flutter >1.7.8 hotfix 4 on production. They have a shit ton of issues on the stable branch which they refuse to fix. Luckily a new stable version will launch soon solving issues.
Example of one, the Samsung J4/6 wouldn't open a production build due to OpenGL mismatch.

How is flutter now? When I tried the scrolling had bad stutters/framedrops.

@elonmusk sometimes it still does that, though that depends entirely on how you build your UI. Too many visible widgets slows it down. (too many being in the thousands)

@tekashi it's still alive and just got an update a few days ago. Also developing in flutter is a breeze and stuff actually is pretty easy to find too. Started out around a week ago with no flutter or dart knowledge whatsoever and this is what I have now. As I started out I would never have imagined that I would be able to get stuff done this fast. Plus the prospect of being able to run this on iOS (when I get the tools to compile for iOS) and eventually Linux and windows from a single code base is pretty sweet too.

@elonmusk yeah somehow the (slight) stuttering while scrolling still seems to be a thing (at least on my android device) but it isn't that noticeable.
