Had an interview a couple of days back, and trying to sell how good the company is, the owner proudly declares, all their code is procedural.

    There's nothing wrong with procedural code in itself if it is appropriate for the problem domain. Fending off devs who can't see that is just an additional benefit.

    Look, TeX was written in 1978. In Pascal, i.e. procedural. Despite decades of hardware progress and OOP left and right, modern browsers still render text like total shit, and the most widespread desktop browser can't even auto-hyphenate. Think about that.
