I have a conference talk tomorrow I and want to show a sample project.
Well... it's not ready. Should I go to sleep and pick a random off the internet or pull an all-nighter?

    Don't show sample project. Show snippets and do a deep dive

    Sample projects are only meant to be downloaded and modified

    @asgs agreed.

    You should sleep, better to go impro with a clear mind than tired with a half assed project

    Usually you have the talk done, *then* pitch the talk. Just things I learned the hard way.

    I'd go to bed.

    Its not "unfinished", its just "ready for improvements"

    Depends on the kind of person you are and if you’ve been sleeping well up until this point, but ...

    Ask yourself, are you doing your audience a better service being rested and demonstrating starting essentially from scratch (which is what they would do on their own if this is a newbie-friendly talk) or you being scatter-brained and missing chunks of information because you’re sleep deprived? If you were the audience, which would you prefer your speaker do?
