@JustThat I double checked the xkcd one and noticed that I memorized it in the wrong order. :D
@daveq the gfy will be a good start for any customer service calls, asking for your "secure" catchphrase ;) -
Parzi88335ya word or phrase you'll remember that isn't common, or a second password
"19,742 bytes"
(size of GRAPHICS.COM in MS-DOS 6.22)
also spaces in tags are allowed. -
@nitwhiz "you'll be asked for characters from the word"
At best its encrypted and has a decryption key stored somewhere on the server, which is still shit.
My bank does this with passwords too. Like why make someone guess 3 letters of your password instead of the 6+ characters, seems so dumb -
@LavaTheif my bank has a password, which I assume is MD5 hased and then a memorable string which it asks for 6 random chars of.

@vorticalbox
Better hope it's not md5, that's sooooper fragile due to its speed.

This is not fucking security, it's obscurity! What the fuck is a memorable word without any context! It drives me up the fucking wall. This doesnt help anyone it just promotes people to put silly shit like password or something so they won't forget but it just makes their account weaker.
