Me and Team Developer,
One day he was calling some apis and getting error
Dev - Hey , the apis seem not to work
Me - Ohk which api, i will Check
Dev - Ohk here is the api and issue
Me - Spent time in checking multiple values for same api, and...
it was working fine with no issue.
Me- SO i asked him to check again
Dev- he again said, still the issue
Me- Ohk give me the same input to try
Dev - Ohk Here is the id of the record
Me - Tested and not working... more tested and got issue like, the id was for some other record, and not actual id he need to call
Me- I told the Dev that he was sending wrong id.
Dev - Ohh Shit, i will check
Me - Yeah, let me know
Dev - Yeah , its working and i wasted 3 days just for this issue.
Me - I said yeah Ohk Fine. (Me Frustrated, as time wasted due to the input issue not mine Api)

Most of the time, this happens and i have to jump to solve. Can Anyone related to this happen with you or your team ?

Don't waste time going back and forth. If I can't re-create the issue within 5 minutes, I'll physically go to someone / ask them to jump on a call and screenshare so I can see what they're doing.

It then becomes abundantly clear if it's a genuine issue, or they're just doing something daft.

@AlmondSauce 80% of the issues being put in at my work I can straight up close due to pebkac and rtfm.

The few issues that are actually real usually come with a good description and steps to reproduce. Not a " help it doesn't work"

Hi Nightstrider, i do the same myself, without asking anyone, but the dev (Mobile dev) i am talking, he simply complains before checking reading manual. Even worse, IOS dev said that we created apis so, it works for android but not ios. Can you believe ?
    Hehe ...

@balvinder294 fucking ughhh. These are the same people complaining it's not all in 1 big manual then when you source all the manual into a giant one they complain they cant find anything.

Or, my personal favorite, "Nevermind, I was talking to the staging API by accident". 🙄
