That's probably because they sold you as an expert to a client, and want to reap the profit.
Happens all the time in consulting - problem is you then end up stuck in the middle with people shouting at you from all sides to get it done. -
@zvyn They sold me as an Analytics expert. My background is in backend development.

@AlmondSauce I thought so too. But this would be highly unethical since the client really requires an expert. Not just some guy with less than a week of training.
