I don’t have a desk either, I have to work from my sofa with the laptop on my lap.

I wouldn’t say I’m less productive though, it’s just much harder to actually stay productive..

Your mileage will vary. It's all about if/how you set up a workspace at home. Aside from other distractions like family of course.

I'm far more productive working at home. It's not a one size fits all proposition.

I'm set up with a card table right now. Luckily my boss let me take my monitor home, so I'm actually probably going to be more productive now since I dont have to listen to anyone having loud conversations about other projects.

Working at office and suddenly changing changing to work from home , is nit a quick thing.
I am already working as work from home for like 2 years now ,
I do not have a desk or table, but just a small bed table that I recieved from company, that I sometimes use.
But the wirk depends on how I do, not like things I have .
Working with family around is like difficult and distraction is there. But it gets manageable with time.

As I don't need to ready up for office and travvel from and to office, the time saved I spend on like blogging and other stuff
So it is good, just have a feel of it. You will not want to go back office 😁

qwwerty11826yI was always bewildered by the fact, how many people working with computers all the time don't even have a proper workplace at home. qwwerty11826yI was always bewildered by the fact, how many people working with computers all the time don't even have a proper workplace at home.

Small coffee table, or no table at all, while hunching on a sofa or crappy folding chair, making it uncomfortable to work for more then half an hour staright.

Do yourself a favor and buy a decent table and office chair. The cheapest height-adjustable set in IKEA costs ~$100 (Olov, Linnmon, Renberget) and you need it more than another overpriced coffee office.

All employees are working from home. I found out that some developers who work 1-2 days from home don't even have a desk in theirs apartments. Now i understand why working from home is considered as unproductive.
