@DevRage start to tell it from social media, I hope it will get enough attention to be seen by your gov.
-
asgs112785yThat's sad. IT jobs are best suited for situations like this. Unless the industry you are building the solutions for is failing, it should be plausible to continue the employment
-
DevRage50435y@asgs yah its sad because the market for the product the we are building is dependent on that economy which is affected by this crisis
-
hitko31455y@melezorus34 Well if a company doesn't have enough work and income to keep everyone, that's just going to cripple the company and either push it into more debt or force it to close altogether. That way everyone loses their job, but hey, at least you didn't have some people lose their income for a month or so (or did they, there's no guarantee they got their salary on time).
-
hitko31455y@melezorus34 If a company takes $100k debt to pay salaries for those people instead of firing them, a company will have to pay it back eventually with interests at some point.
-
@hitko It was paused totally, including the rates. If you are careful you can see I'm saying paused, not postponed.

hitko31455y@melezorus34 That cool. Do they actually PAY your loans? No? Then you'll have to pay them yourself, and after this corona is over you'll have to earn twice as much to pay them back. And there's no fucking way you'll be able to earn twice as much when every potential customer has been hit by the same crisis and needs money to recover. It's just bullshit sense of security that will lead to another economic crisis once companies have to face the consequences.

@hitko Dude, I'm gonna be honest. I am not a economist, not a good English translator so please check the Turkish news about economy via a translator and see.
Just got sad news this week, we could work less and earn less or after a few days some of us might even lose their job, the economy is not stable because of covid 19. I have mixed feelings about what is going on.
