Anyone else thinks the internet is outdated and doesn't suit the needs of today? We can't keep patching it up forever.

    In more detail:
1, TLDs should be deprecated. Apple.com/.co.uk/.de all should just be apple - period. If some wants to find out about iPhones they could go to apple/iphone. Geolocation could be used to figure out where the user is from and display the relevant content.

2, DNS servers should be decentralised, similarly to how trackerless torrents work. There should be DNS issuers who confirm where a domain belongs, and only certified domains could enter the DNS cloud, i. e. all computers online. That would eliminate DDoS attacks, since an entire cloud of independent computers can't be paralysed.

3, IPv4 should be deprecated ASAP.

4, Domain registrations shouldn't be based on who pays the most, but who has the most relevant content for a domain. This would eliminate scam sites and domain scalpers.

Well sure, but that will never happen.

@tpalmerstudios Trying to be constructive. These are just initial thoughts, a decent network engineer would probably have better suggestions. But these are the most outdated features in my opinion.
