@620hun But imagine the possibilities if the greatest minds were immortal. The things the race will achieve.
-
Depends on the scale,am I going to be loaded into a machine that'll end up in a server room lab somewhere or will I be like Cortana? Loaded on an SD card(is) device that operates space frigates?
-
@Hevlastka Your memories will be in a server room but you'll be able to view your house. And be able to interact with your computer/hardware. Unless you make your own 2.5 Petabyte server in your house before your immortal-izaton.

Assuming that Moore's Law can be somewhat applied to storage devices I don't see why wouldn't I be able to get a 500TB ssd in the next 10 years.
-
I think so yeah. Probably in a Raid array as well, and most likely few TB of RAM as well
-
Oh god anything ... Please ... Yes.
I don't know what could be more exciting then finding out what happens to humans in the next few hundred years ? Do we go to space how far etc
But sadly unless we do something like what you saying we won't see most if it 😐 I feel born at slightly the wrong time 😏
Or maybe the perfect time 🤔 -
@FitzSuperUser What if the non-human Robot slaves cut off our power at 11pm like mine.
-
@Pgdevpatryk this is going to be fun...😂
So I assume as this computer I can still hack right I'm a capable programmer as this computer mind thing ? Just can't physically do anything
If you have ever seen the show person of interest ... If not watch it.
But basically I would manipulate people to do my biding 😉 ... Don't want your nudes leaked online ? Hook me up to my own nuclear power plant 😈 -
@DeveloperACE if done right I doubt you need to modify your code since your a computer youd remember everything ... Si as long as your smart now you can make sense if the knowledge.
But maybe you could create a virtual self to test changes 🤔 youd have to have twice the space. -
@Letmecode yes but you also would have the need ... Hell you could simulate the feelings if you miss it
-
@Letmecode 😂 the point is if your a computer you don't have hormones to know you want sex for example or chemicals to get you addicted to want caffeine
So it wouldn't effect you.
You think you would miss it or something but you literally don't feel the need. So you don't think about it, or care that you cant.
Unless whoever built it programmes that in but then ... Why wouldn't they simulate the acts and feeling if doing them to unless they wanted to torture you. -
QsMAD2668yWhat if you are put into a robot that resembles yourself when you were a human? Like the terminator is the best example I can come up with.
-
nmunro31888yLet me ascend and become a lisp program in the end... Code is data after all, my essence could be stored in an s-expression...
(def self '(...))
(eval self)
How much would you pay to be put in an immortal robot. You would be able to use a computer, talk but nothing physical.
