I wonder how well it would work if I bond/load balance my satellite connection with my fixed wireless connection.

    Bonding the connections probably isn't possible, but a teamed nic will get the job done. Reliability? Dual points of failure. I say go for it.

    @SortOfTested why would the bonding not work?

    @QuanticoCEO
    Hardware bonding happens before the modem, so there will be protocol issues. Speedify and other services are basically teaming masquerading as bonding.

    Before bonding, you can try dns on round-robin tho

    @lanfiro I don’t have access to fiber or any wired solution.. only fixed wireless with fast ping but poor speeds and satellite with poor ping and fast speeds...

    Viasat on viasat 2 satellite.. I get 45-70mb down and 5up 600ms ping

    On the fixed wireless tower solution I get 3down, 1up ping 15-75ms .. and some packet loss... but I can easily add more bonded connections on the fixed wireless to increase, because the link to my house is maxed for one radio..even bonding multiple I will still be limited to the bandwidth of the link beyond my tower to the next tower, idk what that link can support ...

    I live in backwoods northern Michigan... it is what it is... I don’t game so I don’t care too much about ping.
