@aki237 I'll be doing something in the app and it will just hang. Sometimes it resolves after a few seconds, sometimes I have to close it out completely. One of the weirder things it did was when I hit reply it hung really bad. I hit the home button so I could get to the home screen on my phone to look at my cache and memory usage and while I was in the cache app devRant opened itself again on the reply screen.

dfox426038yWe've had a couple other reports if possibly some similar behavior but no one was able to provide any kind of definite reproduction details and it seemed to still happen very, very rarely.
Does this happen a lot? -
@dfox seems like it happens when I access the app from a notification on the phone. Back out to the main page then access another rant from the little bell icon. It always seems to happen when I come onto the app from a phone notification and mess around with it after.

@dfox Now if it helps I noticed two strange things just now on this thread. 1. When I replied to you that first time and posted it, another reply window to you opened up. I closed it and I could see my reply. 2. This reply I am currently writing to you I actually opened from the add comment button rather than the reply link. Like I literally hit the add comment button and it opened with @dfox

xios16438yThese exact things happen on my Nexus 5x. It hangs when returning to app after a lenghty period of time in another application.
Often this is the case especially when comment or rant input window is open. I'll start up logcat to catch it. -
dfox426038y@xios thanks, that's weird. Does it seem to happen when you open the app from a push notif?
-
dfox426038y@xios interesting, but that's probably another issue/expected behavior. What I'm getting at here, and what seems to be the case is you've never opened the app from a push notification (since you haven't gotten any) so the issue doesn't depend on the opening method which I thought it might.
As for getting notifs, maybe you didn't select yes when prompted? You can go to settings -> notifications in devRant and it should reprompt you.
As for this issue, any additional insight/help debugging is greatly appreciated as I'm not exactly sure what this might be from.
Is devRant locking up really badly for anyone else or is it just me?
