heh... A few times I crashed a server with a simple 'ls' :)
A couple of times I killed it with 'top' (SunOS 5.8)
Once (or twice maybe) I rebooted a Linux machine with 'who -r'
and many, many times by killing my own harmless processes, like ls, ps, free, top, ssh, etc.
I'm not even counting service restarts :)
Most of the time the cause was a frozen graceful reboot/shutdown hanging on some innocent process in D state (thanks to storage issues). Kill it and you're fucked!
Restart syslog service and the production app crashes. WTF.
