@cantleave I tend to find that I work fast with thrash metal and slower with blues and classical, I just find that it allows my mind to drift a little allowing me to be creative, the drum beat helps a lot ... I never have it so loud that I can't concentrate just enough that it blocks out the sounds around me and allows me to retreat into my own mind 😋

I really love rock and metal, but when I have to focus on the code and just the code I listen to 90's dubstep. with rock I just get lost in the lyrics most times xD

    Tycho - Drive (ambient album)
Intervals, Polyphia, Scale the Summit, and Cloudkicker (instrumental progressive metal)

Not tracks, but an album and bands, awesome stuff.

Ambient music if it's a long, complex problem. If I've got a lot of straight forward code to smash out then it's liquid drum and bass, light dub step, that sort of thing. Gonna try the music to code by tool today though... If I get left alone to write code that is!
