Not awkward, just annoying. Had a recruiter call me out of nowhere and then try to pressure me into immediately declaring my salary expectations straight up saying "so we know you're not wasting our time". You're the one calling me, asshole; I tell him to state his budget so I know he's not wasting my fucking time. He named a sum that was laughable, especially knowing this company offered much more in their own listing.
