I think it's pretty well made actually. Simple, basic, low maintenance, straightforward design with a damn good avatar system. The only thing I'd like is the ability to block users, but considering the minuscule size of the team behind devRant, I don't mind. I get way more out of this app anyway.

@Demolishun well at least for me the mobile web version of devrant is almost unusable.
-
@pdinklaedch why not use the app instead? I doubt the mobile site gets much support anyway since most folks would use use the app on their phones.
-
They didn't put enough effort to make it bug-free or reliable.
They did, however, put way more effort than they were expected to.
I don't blame them, although I do have my own ideas of of what should be improved. -
Oh so you're one of those psychos that uses the web version for social media, huh? Smfh lol
-
I think they put a lot of effort in it.
Remember that it's free and made by two people working full time jobs.
And I've thought a lot about what @pdinklaedch wrote. But all in all, I can just say: Stop being a whiny bitch.
What you are doing is clearly wrong, which you should have realized when you babble about UI / UX and how devrant sucks.
It's pretty obvious that the mobile version is not for a smartphone resolution.
Usually it doesn't even show the web interface in mobile.
You've got incognito, which makes me cringe and I'm pretty sure you've got a verkackte browser with desktop override.
Subtle hint: Desktop on mobile sucks. Hence the mobile version doesn't show intentionally the web interface. This was a pretty wise choice from UI /UX point.
So... When you decide to override the UI / UX the developers intentionally made not available on desktop, don't start telling them it sucks.
It's you who made the choice for whatever reason so blame yourself.
And noones forcing you to use the app.
Based on the dumbness of this idiocracy, I really hope you wouldn't use devrant.
And I'm saying this because you're the typical customer who blames frontend after overriding or ignoring the clear instructions for the usage of a web application... And I really hate such guys.
*takes a deep breath*
So. Yes. Fuck u.
Can we acknowledge how devrant sucks in terms of UX/UI? I mean, the desktop feels like a lazy copy of a mobile app whereas the mobile web version doesn’t even have a menu( not even including the many other issues on mobile). Feels like the devs of devrant are more focused on ranting about their own job than coming up with a better design/ functionality and / or adding PWA support and are forcing us to use their app
