Google joins .NET foundation. I don't know if I love or hate 2016.

There's a month and a half left of the year, and it just keeps getting worse

Well, seems like I'll peek into C# again. If Google starts so officially supporting it, I guess it has real future than just playing with it on Windows.

Maybe it was influenced on some level by asp.net core which boasts a lot? Open source, cross platform, etcetera. Things you wouldn't normally attribute to Microsoft.

@KeyWeeUsr That's funny, haha. Going on like it's not used anywhere already!

@drRoss Well, yes, but mostly on Windows (if you don't count Mono), so... but I don't really like making platform specific things :P If Google is serious enough to do this, I can try to do cross-platform thing with it :D

@KeyWeeUsr …and Microsoft's strategy is working. Interesting times.

@grokmann I still consider it evil, don't worry. I just wonder what made Google to take this step. Also, MS joined Linux foundation as "platinum" btw. If we're talking about the devil :P

@KeyWeeUsr I think this is probably to try to establish .NET as a more open alternative to Java.

@danglingPtr makes sense. Google is probably more annoyed by court than Oracle.
