@Conrad Expensive/cheap is of course subjective, but SSD have had a reasonable price for quite some time, now.
I got my Corsair MP510 (1TB NVMe) for €120ish.
PS: R/W of 3500/3000 -
SSDs are a great investment!

@JhonDoe No, but I'm planning to buy the SSD together with a motherboard/processor/ram upgrade because that's probably bottlenecking my GTX 1070, so I want to save up a bit for that.
