Picking up a new language / framework : book or internet ? Why ?

Each time start with paper to get the basics and then use the web to read the docs as you do something Real. It's mostly because paper books are a preference vs kindles and such (they are also a Nice trophy for your library), neither is "just bether because.."

I'm enjoying learning from a pdf version of a book right now. Makes it easy to try things out as I'm reading.
