It's what humans like to do, making stuff overcomplicated, just specialise yourself in front end lang and a backend lang. Should be fineπ

@Letmecode Feel like I need to find my passion again... Can't let my job eating away my hobby. Can't keep asking myself is it useful, would it help my career if I learn it... Thanks a lot!

peek4y4118yI have the same feeling as well. So many things floating around, so hard to keep up, I struggled a lot juggling between one language to another.
And now, I stopped fighting it. I'm just sticking to one thing at a time. Taking it slow. Dont care about the latest fad that usually freaks me out. βΊ -

We don't... we just pretend to know... then we turn to Google and StackOverflow when asked to implement something.

ChappIO46938y@whocareswhoiam If you feel like you are losing your passion, do some hobby projects! Don't start looking at things you 'have to do' simply have some fun :)
Where are you located? If you are near maybe we can do some projects together, I finished one yesterday.
Does anyone feel overwhelmed by all the new technologies? It's like every developer nowadays code in JS, and knows ES6, React, webpack, babel by heart. I have been working in Java for less than a decade and sometimes feel like I can't catch up. Even in Java ecosystem there is now Scala, Groovy, Gradle, Kotlin... Not to mention other languages like Python, Swift... How do you guys have time to pick up everything?? π
