neozilon1468yNowadays there are so many choices to teach how to program than the old turbo Pascal ... There are even some just to learn and not useful in real life but are really good to learn ;-)

They still teach turbo pascal in both my college and high school. I think it's good as a start to learn programming logic as the language is pretty simplistic

Balubs68y@Artemix C/C++ should have been read as C or C++. I get your point and I agree that some teachers could do a better job explaining the differences, but I dont know how much this really matters when starting out.

Balubs68y@Artemix languages come and go while the concepts and tehniques are timeless. I think that schools should concentrate on these rather than on languages and I proposed C++ as it is in vogue right now.
