Oh god... Urm 😅 I can take a look if you seriously want me to find a good One but it'll take n hour out of my day

@bolanafruta honestly, just buy like a 300$ laptop with i3/5 and some gtx and invest the rest in a desktop, youll be so much better off (im implying that 1$~1€)

@RazorSh4rk Provided that you don't need to run something slow, like Android Studio. Then you'll have enough time to curse yourself while Gradle tears apart the last bit of your sanity.

rivertam498yThinkpad carbon x4 or whatever it is. Best laptop I've ever owned. Amazing build quality.

what kind of work do you do? if you can tell me I can give you a decent list of specs to search for on newegg

@jckimble I'm a computer science student. I'm 1 year away from finishing my degree. I use Python, C, Java, HTML and others in classes. But I'm now starting to explore mobile development outside of school.

@bolanafruta if you want to do iphone development you're stuck with apple. so in your case the best you can do is find the highest cpu speed and cores you can find in a mac that's in your price range
-
If you plan on doing anything with CUDA I recommend the new GTX 1060, 1070 laptops

Desktop is overkill for most development work. I'd recommend buying a nice laptop and a monitor for when you're at home. You can use the laptop like a desktop when it's in clamshell mode.
obviously desktops have their use cases but you said you were exploring mobile development.
With a 1600$ budget what laptop would you get? I've been using Mac OS for 6 years and I like it. But now it's time for a laptop upgrade and I can't decide. :D
