😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What. The. Fuck. 😂😂😂 That's like going ... Hmm guys do you want to see the world burn 😈 -
They don't want you to know your new MacBook has piss poor battery compared to your "dead/dying" laptop due to planned obsolescence!
-
@BikerMouse @Letmecode that new touchbar takes a lot of juice, that must be it 😋
-
brod99258yThe battery remaining estimate is always flawed on computers.. It seems cowardly to remove it but it was stupid to have it at all.
-
@brod one batteries don't have different fluctuations depending where you are in the world...
Two. They base it off how much your battery is discharging. At full charge your battery is discharging slightly more and when it's near empty a fair amount less.
Which is a decent indication for battery life now the issue is currently in two years battery life can be considerable different. I.e you buy it it can drop 40+%
But even then this is generally a good way of knowing battery life unless your battery is damaged. They often are! Slightly
Now we are all non standard users so expect to use it quickly I mean they do it based on someone just watching YouTube videos etc standard users who don't use as much charge as us.
So ... Whilst it's not perfect. It's not often far wrong if done right. Removing it is stupid. You should at least just allow the option to have it why remove it completely unless your hiding something. -
@TktStatusPICNIC @brod @FitzSuperUser
I agree with all three of you. You all have valid arguments.
My opinion is that Apple actually has a point here (the function keys and headphone jacket are debatable) .
An user would like to know when to plug in if the battery is near to empty. As with phones, you can set a warning if your battery reach a certain percentage.
Its not an estimation of the remaining time you have (though we always run like it's about t die in 5sec)
I don't care about the time as long as my laptop warns me that's on a certain percentage. From there you have all the time to plug in. -
@TktStatusPICNIC oh I know apple have serious issues with it it's stays on 99% for a long time... But I think that's partly a design to make you feel like your getting alot out of it
