coookie26158y@Lilithium Isn't it the opposite, Nvidia making sure the drivers are updated and working, whereas amd well...

@coookie Nvidia fan boy? My amd Radeon 7750 with 2gb of ddr3 still plays everything fine. Even bf1.
-
@LucaScorpion yeah thats my problem, they are the same price and offer the same power and im not a fan of eiher so how do i choose
-
coookie26158y@ScribeOfGoD Not a fan boy exactly but i prefer nvidia for cuda and their driver support. But if crude performance is the thing then i will prefer amd for their prices, besides rx 480 sometimes beats nvidia's counterpart, sooo there's that.

coookie26158y@StefanH Yes Nvidia driver releases are all about optimizing for the newly released games, but, it is fair to say that their actual pace of improvement for core performance has been slow because they already riding high.Talking of Functionality and reliability, in my experience Nvidia has been doing a great job at that, better than amd. I believe it when you say amd is pushing forward in these domains now and reaching its peak, but it would be wrong to say nvidia sucked at them.
Besides, afaik no mac has pascal so driving their efforts to please the hackintosh community isn't very wise.
Im building a pc and ive been hopping between gtx1050 and rx460 for like a month
