I am considering buying a gel wrist rest, do those even help? If not what should i buy in order to not destroy my wrists? I am one of those devs who back from work and sit by the machine again.
Anyone with experience?

I had a wrist problem, i got a really good magnetic bracelet and it worked. Now I cant be certain if it actually made a physical difference or wether I was convinced it would... the placebo effect. But its worth a try right?

I use an ergonomic keyboard. I have no trouble or pain so far and if feels way more comfy. It is bent in the middle so you rest your arm naturraly on your desk. Microsoft have some of those too.

I had a gel wrist rest and I can't recommend it. Unless you are one of those guys who use their mouse on ultra high sensitivity you are just going to need that extra movement from your wrist. A wrist rest just locks you to one spot and makes it kind of annoying to work with. Also, it should not be too thick, only about 2-3 cm high.
But maybe you should rather get something like a wristband with a gel cushion if that exists. That would make more sense

If you want a wrist rest cheap, go to mattress websites (like temperpedic) they often have free samples they will send you for free, its the perfect size for your wrist :) and if not you can cut it to size
