Is it just me OR people on devRant are less cruel than Stackoverflow when someone posts something irrelevant?

StackOverflow is Q&A, here we just whine like the miserable individuals that we are.

devRant very much a supporting team environment - in my opinion.

We're just lovely people!

The cool devs hang out here. I always get told my questions are too broad and irrelevant on there. I am using it less and less all the time. When you constantly show disdain for your customers they will find someone that treats them right.

this is not a Q&A app, her you rant and laugh and post shit. In SO, you post serious question that you need answered, as simple as that

Well if the stack overflow community was similar to the devrant community, no one would get anything done ever.

I'm glad it's a harsh tone on SO, it results in good questions and good answers people can learn from.

I just don't see how this is relevant 😉

Stackoverflow is a brutal place..
i never write descriptions as accurate as i do on SO...
