Hack yourself a powerbank into a router battery power supply. I did that too, shouldn't be too hard. Be sure that the voltage and amps of the battery can handle it, normal powerbanks only deliver 5 volts, use a powerbank with 12 volts ;)

Turn it back on. Plus router firmware updates usually occur at night so it's best to keep it running permanently anyway...

Notev they just turn wifi off. Not the router.
