Does anyone here think that Firebase is absolutely nuts when it comes to querying data ? I mean it's unbelievable.

Yeah me too! It's fucking horrible.

Fucking abandon all the knowledge gathered in last 30-40 years of modelling, querying data efficiently(read RDBMS) and just push Javascript objects like I don't even know what. What a stupid API!

@klonky This. Embrace another way of doing things and maybe you'll like it even better.

@klonky @rayanon I don't know guys, it's a PITA for even some very basic operations, for which I have to do all the computations in my app, which will probably slow it down as number of users increase.
Thinking of switching to Parse.

@gamebusterz but Parse is shutting down in January.

@rayanon The Parse platfrom isn't, it's been open sourced. I'll just have to get a server of my own on AWS, which wasn't a hassle with Firebase. But this will save costs (which isn't a priority), but will actually let me do what I want with the data, without pulling my hair.
