My biggest tip to new developers? Embrace your ignorance, don't be embarrassed by it. Let it inspire you to learn as much as you can, let it humble you into asking questions when you're stuck, let it prepare you to change within an industry that is anything but static. Admitting you don't know something isn't a weakness, it's an opportunity 😃

Asking a question is always good. Open ended questions are my favorites.

I don't think that only applies to new developers...

This was my biggest hurdle out of college.

@thecleaner It doesn't. The reason I posted this was because I had to ask a coworker for help today. I'm mid-level. We all must stay as humble as possible 😋

Best advice ever. It holds for everyone, but newcomers should be able to accept it more easily. Some people (like me) sometimes feel they need to apologize for not knowing something; being new is a good 'excuse'.

It takes around 15 minutes for a dev to regain concentration after being interrupted.

If I reckon that I can't find the answer to a question myself in less than 15 mins, then asking another Dev is simply a better use of company time.
