I wish recruitment agencies knew what they're doing so they could actually send useful job offers... C'mon, seriously? I'm a first year at University, what are the chances I can be a senior linux sys admin and manage a team?

Most of them just play the numbers game. Some so off base. There are good ones out there.
Might be cool if devRant someday showed relevant opportunities based on skills and location. Would not be too difficult and certainly better than most of these recruiters.

I hate it when they ask me to consider contract for hire and I say am not looking for a contract job and they say it is a contract job, you know 3 months contract for hire. It is expected that you stay at a contract for hire job if things work out. In reality it looks bad if you leave after 3 months.

Had a first today. Was "invited" to apply for a BA role. As is clear from my cv , I'm a dev. Definitely a numbers game
