@Cyanide my gf gets them in the end of the month, too. For her, it's totally normal, i'm perplexed every time..
-
@Cyanide really? I guess it's just because mine come at 10th next month.
Somehow it's weird to get paid before the month is through.:D -
qwwerty11444y@Cyanide depends on the country. Currently, we report attendance till the last day of the month, then there are 2 weeks for processing and paychecks sent on 15th. It's pretty common across whole country even for folks with fixed attendance.
We used to have it sooner (on 7-10th), but often had to report attendance for days that haven't happened yet and then go back to correct unexpected overtimes, night hours, etc... -
@Cyanide
In The Netherlands, the VAST majority of employers pay on 23, 24 or 25th of each month -- so they effectively pay a few days in advance.
It's not a legal thing, just a custom, and most employees kind of expect it.
Many monthly bills (rent/mortgage/electricity/internet/etc) are due before the 1st day of the month. So having an employer who pays at the start of the 4th week of the month allows you to immediately pay your bills. -
kandalof944yCalm down, it happened to me as well. It was an error on their part, I got the rest of the money with the next paycheck. Just be sure to ask, and ask politely.
What the fuck, I got a raise last December, which should be reflected in today's paycheck, but it ain't.
Fucking dickheads, let's see what's going on here.
