I've migrated towards the US version since 7 years ago. Want to move to California so I need to get used to this (although I can't get used to the imperial system)

balambuc1308yAlright, now it's my turn for being the one hipster in a conversation...
Unix epoch
There -
@balambuc if you can tell me the time right now in unix epoch without looking it up I will give you $100

drRoss48808y@The1nk Yeah I'd need Jesus in my life to help me work out that horrific date format you're suggesting.
-
Grumpy28828ySince the OP asked about the perfect date, not the perfect date format, my answer would be one with Hannah Fry (sample of her Ada/Babbage documentary here: https://youtube.com/watch/...).
Bletchley Park would be the perfect place to date her. -
@drRoss dude...That's the ISO standard. YYYY-MM-DD shouldn't be a suggestion, it should be default everywhere.
-
drRoss48808y@Synth-Synapses That's been the date format in my life ever since I knew what a date was!

Always hated the ambiguity on the North American continent with dates (says a Canadian)... Personal preference of what should be standard as the most intuitive in my view (which is already the case in most European countries mind you): DD/MM/YYYY, but the opposite order seems ok too
What is your idea of 'perfect date'?
Me: DD/MM/YYYY
Seriously, living in US since last six months till, still not getting used to MM/DD/YYYY!!!
