Seriously, living in US since last six months till, still not getting used to MM/DD/YYYY!!!

The only acceptable date format is the ISO 8601 standard (YYYY-MM-DD)

Always hated the ambiguity on the North American continent with dates (says a Canadian)... Personal preference of what should be standard as the most intuitive in my view (which is already the case in most European countries mind you): DD/MM/YYYY, but the opposite order seems ok too

Just use YYYY-MM-DD! It's not a discussion.
