emes0013199yI would say stay on your current path. You may not think you need it now, but having a solid foundation of CS courses (versus say going business development as degree and doing web dev as work) is very valuable down the road.

I find that a lot of web dev's (not all) are lacking in oop concepts... when you're working with js on an enterprise web app, you definitely do not want 100% procedural code. Having solid programming foundations is a good thing!
Plus, if you're into c#, full stack development is pretty easy using mvc webapi! -
get the foundations of OOP. languages don't matter.
if you have no understanding of development you won't be much help. -

i'm a student also and they have taught us VB.Net, and i have just researched and self studied about Web Development (html, css,js,php, etc.) (and just to say, also C# and Java where i gained a lot of knowledge about coding) because this is what i want.
them teaching me VB.Net didn't clearly helped me with what i want now, but i can say that i didn't waste my time. I didn't focused on the language (VB.Net), but i grasped the ideas && concepts behind and around it.
Am I wasting my time doing a Software Engineering degree when my main interest is Web development? (we study nothing related to html, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript, Ruby etc) it's mainly C++ and C#
