I hate doing JavaScript full-stack projects for huge greedy dipshit companies, but I’ve gained a lot of engineering experience and now finally I have the skill to move to embedded, VR/ AR or a combination of both.

If anyone reading this is in the are of AR/ VR, please share any tips or stories. Would appreciate it a lot!

    VR/AR eh? Thats nifty.

    Games? Medical? Or some other area?

    @Wisecrack

    I would jump on any of those, if I was offered to work with this tech, haha.

    Jokes aside, I’m not really interested in medical area or game development that much, but I am trying to learn Unity by making the latter, so everything is possible. Have any suggestions? :)

    google street view + VR would be nifty.

    I saw a demo for I think AR, that involved an overhead projector and an actual tabletop sandbox. As the users moved the real life sand to form mounds, a camera generated a heightmap that was used in combination with water physics. The system simulated water flowing on the internal heighmap and the projected it onto the surface of the sand!

    Gave me an instant nerdboner. Coolest thing Ive seen so far.

    Also havent seen any demos that reconstruct the users room and let them interact with virtual objects within their own office/living room/etc. Even the ability to detect surfaces and pick up/set down a virtual cup, or dynamically turn any surface into a virtual "screen" would be cool as hell.
