I feel like I'm stuck professionally working on the same PWAs, SPAs and "fullstack" projects.

Surprising, how little professional options there are if you don't want to fall into the god-forsaken ML community.

Guess I chose the life. Might as well continue till I burnout ಠ_ಠ

Even ML is probably boring in the same way

While I enjoy a good SPA, preferably with storybook and tests covering, I find more and more reminiscing over the simplicity of old school server side templates.

Then I remind myself of how God awful it can be with PHP code returning js that then pulls in partials. Typically rendered by PHP, in a humongous switch...

Well.. pick your poison. At least it's much more enjoyable nowadays.

@matt-jd PWA is Progressive Web App I think, spa is a place you go to relax

You could try going into embedded systems if you have the background for that

@matt-jd Well, coincidentally I've been thinking to go there. Don't have many resources tho. Any recommendations?

@matt-jd SPA is a single page application, where everything is done through transitions

@3rdWorldPoison I do but it depends on which area of embedded systems you want to go into, do you have any hardware background? There's circuits, pcbs, asics etc and there's software and firmware stuff so what are you interested in?

Do some DevOps or SRE in a bare metal environment for a year or two. You will learn a lot.

As a recent starter, this worries me. Any suggestions you might have so that I don't end up at this place?

@-devpool- Bah don't worry. Just never stop looking for alternatives.

One has to be in a trench to know how much he wants to get out.
