Some have good teachers and do some good work.

The main problem for me is their false promises. There is no scarcity of junior developers. None.

Anyone can be a programmer doesn't mean that everyone can be a good one.

The first 2-3 years will be very complicated.

IMO, there's indeed no scarcity of junior developer.

Beyond this, a problem I see, is that after school / training / formation, many ones think they will do a high level coding, on great projects etc.

But to do this, I think you first have to eat debug shit legacy code, before trying to do good stuff.

I see 2 reasons for that :

1. Developper have to learn what not to do before doing good stuff
2. Seniors developpers prefer high level coding to hardcore debug and they did eat shit code before already :D

It bothers me that there seems to be a "caveat emptor" attitude towards the students understanding about going into such programs. I get the feeling some organizations are out to simply sell pickaxes & shovels in order to get rich on promoting a programming job gold rush.
