how does devRant make any kind of profit? I mean it's free, they have swag giveaways, server cost and maintenance, development, etc...??

Given the amount of battery it uses I'd guess they're mining bitcoin on our devices^^

They have a store and as far as i am aware, that is largely how they make money.

Next year they'll make us pay to relieve our stress :P

I am not sure about this nor have I read the terms and license shiz but one way can be using the data of what people are talking about. Use cases could be trend analysis, targeted advertising on other platforms or similar to this. But I love Devrant anyway :)
