My point was more if I'm going to do more work somebody needs to bring me some Dr Pepper.

Coffeine only keeps you at your Melatonin level, doesn't make you awake. So please don't drink coffee when you're still tired, or better: Don't start drinking it when you are tired. Only when you are awake. It only blocks receptors, that's why.

@Letmecode but it's really easy with nicotine! A lethal dose is in just 1 or 2 cigarettes, but smoking it is a really inefficient way to get it so people are generally fine.
