Using Ubuntu from years, never knew this logs file named 'syslog.1' could start filling about 80% of my root space 🤦.

    uhm.

I'm worried how less diskspace you have or why your syslog exploded.

And does Ubuntu still use rsyslogd?

Thought they would use systemd / journald, which limits itself to I think 10 % of space

@IntrusionCM Don't want to say this.. but I was getting rhis problem previously too.. so I already increased the root partition to significant size { You would laugh when I say around 50 GB}.. I'm planning to use all softwares within it so.

Yes.. it is still using rsyslogd I think, just disabled it for a while. Would update you after confirmation.

Also, I read the log file using tail.. There were so many logs.. I wasn't understanding any of them.. everything is working fine otherwise. So disabled it for a while.
Looking for your insights, for accurate measures to be taken. Thanks.
