Why are some people incapable of reading documentation? THE "DUPLICATE RECORDS" IN OUR KAFKA TOPIC ARE BECAUSE ITS AN EVENT STREAM AND NOT A DATABASE. THIS IS LITERALLY ON THE FIRST PAGE OF THE GUIDE YOU ABSOLUTE MORONS.

You have duplicate events in ab event stream? That shouldn't have place, I think. I'm not a guru but I do have some experience with event sourcing. Maybe tell them to focus on projections. 🤷‍♂️

@cprn Nope - they're getting confused over multiple (but different) events for the same entity. Fairly sure they think Kafka is just a relational db.

In my place, 50 engineers created messaging based on SNS/SQS. No fucking single of the had any idea about "at least one delivery vs exactly on delivery" and "message duplication".

Than I read docs. Told them. And they were like "oh really?".... and no shit given. No code improvements, no changes.
