I tried using my Mac for dev, wasn't impressed even though it has better specs than my win machine. In all fairness, I'm in the ms stack all day so I'm biased.

That being said, I have TeamCity running on my Mac and it's so much slower than on my old, run down Windows machine I was using before.

Using and playing with a Mac in every way for a couple of weeks makes it the only thing you ever want to use

Yeah, my laptop is a Mackintosh/Linux Box. I'm dual-booting Yosemite and Linux Mint. I love the app support and detail of Mac OS, but I'd much rather develop on Linux. Personal preference, I guess
