Is OSS code worth it as an alternative to VSCode?

Found about the open source version a few days ago, and deciding to use this instead of VSCode on my new Manjaro distro(was using VSCode on Ubuntu previously). I did read through the differences as mentioned in the VSCode wiki, but I'd like to know what people here think of it.

I don't see much difference in both. Btw, I use arch linux.

I started with regular vscode and switched to vscode-oss and not much on functionality or performance.

The repos in AUR are regularly maintained so that's an advantage compared to compiling your own update.

Tried it. It sucks. Things like remote code editor won't work. There's no support for it. Just use the mainstream version.

Vscode is already open source. Vscodium has just disabled telemetry and changed the repo for the plugins.

Yes, other than some extensions seemingly missing on OSS Code, it's pretty much on par with VSC.
