Yeap ... We all know .... We use the computer in mid air and throw it to the cloud...

You pay for the whole computer, you don't get a full Computer

You pay to use someone else's computer. You do not need to own and maintain a computer. You do not own the computer your code is running on. You can't maintain the computer if the original owner's work proves dissatisfactory. You don't know what else is running on the computer. Probably the original owner doesn't know what exactly is running on the computer. You are able to isolate your processes with the same tools the owner developed to isolate you from attackers without spending on security expertise or multiple physical machines.
Pick your poison, I for one like and use them.
