Curious, what is that feeling when you can spend 10 hours trying to understand something by going through code or any other resources. But instead you think that you can rely another senior developer to answer that. Sounds evil to me, but what does it keep happening to me.

    Diving directly to code is a big no for me before knowing the greater contexts. If I onboard other senior devs, I will introduce the general concepts/model and expect them to pick up the details, and assist when they have clarification.

    It sounds like an ex-teammate of mine who's a help vampire who can't get out of the comfort zone.

    I would be disappointed at this (although, 10h might be much depending on the size of the codebase).
