@curlmudgeon you'll be surprised. I know a web agency nearby where they don't use any VCS, and still works with FTP, directly on the server...

The company I work for uses it for everything except what i do.

@nickhh we don't have tree conflicts... because we don't use branches... because branches in SVN is a FUCKING PAIN IN THE ASS TO WORK WITH

@nik123 our software is not open-source and we are all on GIT... having the ability to have a personal fork and local repository allows you to push code more often, and going through a pull request allows more frequent code reviews and checks for faulty business logic.
